2014 Konsept Art & Music Festival : Waste Not OC Benefit
LGCLTV better known as Orange County’s very own Locally Grown Collective has been providing soulful and inspirational music throughout southern California for the past four years. The collective has recently taken on the task of better serving its community by organizing an event that fuses the hip-hop scene with humanitarian work.
We went to Konsept, who works with the art community in Santa Ana, with our idea and they purposed making their annual Konsept Art & Music Festival a benefit event. The festival is set to take place in the East End of downtown Santa Ana on September 6, 2014. All the proceeds will go to WasteNotOC.org an organization that takes surplus food from restaurants and grocery stores and donates it to food banks in order to provide for the struggling families and food insecurities in Orange County. They are also starting a subsidiary program that works with the Anaheim Probation Department in order to teach juveniles in the system culinary skills.
